World has warning of Swine Flu or Pig Flu at the moment.

 

The viruses contained a unique combination of gene segments that had not been reported previously among swine or human influenza viruses in the United States or elsewhere. Neither child had known contact with pigs, resulting in concern that human-to-human transmission might have occurred. So most of concerts and any of groups meeting has canceled especailly in US. The seasonal influenza vaccine H1N1 strain is thought to be unlikely to provide protection. This report updates the status of the ongoing investigation and provides preliminary details about 6 additional persons infected by the same strain of swine influenza A(H1N1) virus identified in the previous cases, as of 24 Apr 2009.

 

 

WBC(World Baseball Classic) Final: South Korea vs. Japan

WBC is like an Olympic game for baseball and it was on in this year, 2009. After this year, it is planned to be staged every four years, meaning the next Classic is in 2013. It also is expected to be expanded to 24 teams from the current 16.

 

5 days has been past like a dream.

It was on Wednesday and I received his text, he arrived in Auckland safely and confrim about if we still can go out to have a drink that night. The text putted me a smile all day until I met him. Even I felt a little exciting to see him as this is his first time visiting Auckland where the place he usually lived before he moved to London.

Actually he had to come to Christchurch where he was born because of his father got a strock. He had a small strock luckly and he can talk as usual. His left side leg and arm got shock that means he got the strock in right-hand side of his brain. He still can talk as usual because left-hand side of the brain control words and languages. He got strock now but luckly it was very small, he can talk, and he still can use his right hand as usual. It was not a good news to hear at the beginning but I was happy as it was not too bad. Sometimes I am missing the time when I had burbourn and coke with him and when I was talking with him as he is a cool guy. He often hugged me strongly and manly and I loved them much.

Well... yes, I went to see him at Occidental that place we were usually going. It is such a comfortable place for a drink to me still. I saw him and he was smiling. He was the same person who I loved. Warm, comfortable, and thoughtful. Oh, one of his friend was there too. He was his flatmate and also was his college friend. He wanted to say hi to me and he left soon after we had chat a short time. Beers, talk, and comfortable feeling... ah... I was so glad to see him again.

After the night, we met for some drinks, a concert at King's Arms, shopping, Dinners... They were just sounds simple and usual things to do for everyday but for me, we did some sort of same things that we usually did when we were together. At the King's Arms', once I nearly got tears. Of course I was drinking wine but it was not only because of that. The memories which I spent with him are still in my heart and head. People are keeping their good memories in their heart and looking at back sometimes. I decided not to be silly at the moment that I started to get tears. If he sees the tears, he will worry me.

He asked me to text him when I got home safely as usual. He is nice and warm heart person. I know about it and I would like to let him to know too. He knows himself he is a good person but he is more than good person to me all the time. I had to say good-bye when he was leaving Auckland to London and I should control myself not to be emotional for him. I said good-bye as like other friends do and I was keep looking at him even though he got into the gate of checking passport.

He got in London safely and he will go back to work and to his usual life. But for me, that means we will be departed for several years again. Hey friend, be there well and hope you are happy all the time. That is a wish for you from me...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh, pity pity... People's mad words which are not care of people made someone die. I am not a star but I can understand a little by my experiences and I understand the feeling. The person died was usually strong but that was not mean that she is a strong person originally but that means she needed to be strong to protect herself.

 

Choi Jin-Sil, a popular South Korean actress depressed after a divorce and distraught over online rumors was found dead Thursday in an apparent suicide, hours after she sent a text message saying "take care of my children no matter what happens." Choi Jin-sil, 39, known as "The Nation's Actress in Korea," is believed to have hanged herself in the bathroom of her Seoul home.

 

She had been depressed since her divorce and worried about how to care for her two young children. She had been distraught after the suicide of a fellow actor she was rumored to have pressured about a loan, police said. No suicide note was found. However, she sent an assistant two cell phone text messages Wednesday night asking her to "take care of my children no matter what happens" and telling her that "I'm sorry," the chief investigator said. Choi Jin-Sil mother told police that the actress returned home drunk around midnight Wednesday, crying and denying the recent rumors, before going into the bathroom. Her mother woke the next morning to find the bathroom door locked and called for help.

 

About the news shocked everyone, as well as stars and film directors at the Busan International Film Festival, which opened Thursday in the southern beach town of Busan. A moment of silence was observed in Choi's honour at the opening ceremony.

 

She made her debut in the late 1980s, quickly becoming the nation's sweetheart and earning a reputation as a box-office draw. She also starred in prime time TV dramas. The actress was preparing for the second season of a TV drama, "The Last Scandal of My Life," in which she played a woman who finds love with a top actor after a painful divorce. Choi herself had gone through a difficult divorce. She had married baseball star Cho Sung-min in 2000, then a pitcher for the Japanese pro baseball team Yomiuri Giants, but they split in 2002 and divorced two years later. A friend said Choi worried constantly about raising the children and about her future as an actress, and repeatedly expressed her wish to die. Her mother told police Choi was depressed after the divorce and had been taking a sedative.

 

Rumors that she had lent money to actor and longtime friend Ahn Jae-hwan, who was found dead in his car in early September, upset the actress, friends and family said. Choi denied loaning Ahn money and asked police to find out who was circulating the claims that Ahn killed himself after Choi pressured him to repay a large debt.

 

 

 

 

“What type of love do you have now?” the sentence that I listened on radio. ‘What does it mean? What type of love?’ And the sentence made me think what sort of love people have. There are some different sorts of love which are love in family, between friends, love people(In religious), and between men and women. The word “Love” is same to use but not everyone experiences love in exactly the same manner.

 

Research has shown that love comes in several different forms or styles. For the most part, people experience love as a blend of two or three of the styles listed below. Essentially, people have different notions of what it means to "be in love."

 

Do you in love? Then what type of love is it?

 

Styles of Love:

Eros – some people experience love with a lot of passion, intimacy and intensity. Love based on Eros has a strong sexual and emotional component. People who experience love this way want to be emotionally and physically close to their romantic partners and they tend to idealize love. Such love is marked by passion as well as compassion(kindness and consideration). Eros is best viewed as romantic, passionate love - the type of love that creates excitement at the beginning of a new relationship.

 

Ludus – some people experience love as a game to be played with other people’s emotions. The goal or desire is to gain control over a partner through manipulation. People who experience love as Ludus like to have multiple love interests where they are in complete control. Lying, cheating and deception are common for people who experience love as Ludus – it’s all part of the game. For people who experience love as Ludus, it is satisfying to outwit a partner and exploit his or her weak spots.

 

Storge – some people experience love as a gradual and slow process. When love is based on Storge, getting to know someone comes before having intense feelings for that person. Love based on Storge takes time, it requires genuine liking and understanding of a partner, and it develops slowly over time. Love based on Storge is often compared to the love that one has for a friend. In fact, people who experience love as Storge often fall in love with their friends.

 

Agape – some people experience love as care giving. Love is the overwhelming desire to want to take care of a partner - a parental or nurturing type of love. Love based on Agape is attentive, caring, compassionate and kind - a more altruistic or selfless type of love.

 

Mania – some people experience love as being out of control. Love is an overwhelming experience; it turns one’s life upside down and it results in a complete loss of one’s identity. Love based on Mania is crazy, impulsive and needy. People who experience love as Mania fall in love quickly, but their love tends to consume them. Love experienced as Mania also tends to burnout before it gets the chance to mature. Such love is often marked by extreme delusions, feelings of being out of control, rash decisions, and vulnerability. People who experience love as Mania are easily taken advantage of by people who experience love as Ludus.

 

Pragma – some people take a practical approach to love. Love is not crazy, intense, or out of control. Love is based on common sense and reason. People who experience love as Pragma tend to pick a suitable mate the way most other people make serious life decisions: picking a partner is based on careful consideration and reason. Practical concerns underlie this type of love.

The Beijing Olympic is started. It had a lot of troubles(Based on politically) until it started and even after started. Renovation and Construction Fee: The 2008 Beijing Olympics are officially the most expensive games in history with a total of $40.9 billion spent between 2001 and 2007 on infrastructure, energy, transportation and water supply projects.

 

Beijing National Stadium: It nicknamed the Bird's Nest because of its nest-like skeletal structure. Construction of the venue began on December 24, 2003. The Guangdong Olympic Stadium was originally planned, constructed, and completed in 2001 for the games, but a decision was made to construct a new stadium in Beijing. Government officials engaged architects worldwide in a design competition. A Swiss firm, Herzog & de Meuron Architekten AG, collaborated with China Architecture Design & Research Group to win the competition. The stadium features a lattice-like concrete skeleton forming the stadium bowl and will have a seating capacity of over 90,000 people during the Olympics.

 

The Opening Ceremony: It was held at the Beijing National Stadium. It began at 8:00 pm China Standard Time(UTC+8) on 8 August 2008. I heard the number 8 is associated with prosperity and confidence in Chinese culture. The ceremony was co-directed by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou and Chinese choreographer Zhang Jigang.

1. Following the Opening Ceremony, all but one(Brunei) of the current 205 National Olympic Committees will participate. China and the United States have the largest teams, with 639 and 596 competitors respectively.

2. North Korea and South Korea held meetings to discuss the possibility of sending a united team to the 2008 Olympics, but the proposal failed, due to disagreements between the two NOCs on the proportion of athletes from the two countries within the team.

Usually I am listening a radio when I am driving and often I can listen some interesting topics. I have also studied philosophy and psychology when I was studying at university. Philosophy was a compulsory paper that I had to study anyway, but psychology is always like a passionate paper that I liked to study. Well, anyway, tonight of course I was listening a radio and the DJ brought up a topic which is “Why people are cheat and why not just leave?”. It was a kind of interesting topic for me to listen and I found some information about it.

 

1. Why Do Men and Women Cheat?

 

Infidelity or extramarital affairs have been extensively studied over the past two decades. Basically, when it comes to infidelity, two related explanations have been given.

 

The first explanation is probably the most well known: Spouses cheat because of problems in their relationship - something is missing, passion has faded, partners feel lonely, people find someone who treats them better or who appreciates them more than their current spouse, and so on. Simply stated, people claim that they are not happy in their relationship so they look for love and affection elsewhere.

The second explanation is more detailed in nature. This explanation ignores the reasons that people "give" for cheating and looks deeper into our human nature. The second explanation explores what it means to be human and asks, "why is being faithful to a spouse so difficult for many people to do?"

 

Probably the best way to think about these two explanations is to view them as two sides of the same coin. One explanation looks at what people "say" about infidelity, while the other explanation looks at "how and why infidelity" occurs.

 

2. What Type of Person is the Most Likely to Cheat?

 

While the desire to cheat is a fundamental, and unconscious, part of our human nature, not everyone will be unfaithful. Like most of our behaviors, infidelity is not intentional, but, for the most part, it is situationally driven. When placed in the right situation(or wrong situation, in this case), our emotions can get can prompt us to act in ways which are counter to our beliefs. Please note that some of the factors listed below are drawn from Buss and Shackelford's work on infidelity.

 

3. What Factors Influence an Individual's Willingness to Cheat?

 

Attractiveness

All things being equal, an individual’s attractiveness influences how likely he or she is to cheat. Attraction comes in many different forms – it is influenced by one’s physical appearance, one’s social skills, and one’s tangible resources(money). The more one is in demand, the more likely one is to cheat. People, who have higher incomes, more education, and successful careers, are more likely to cheat than people who are less successful. And physical attractiveness also plays an important role.

 

Opportunity

Again, all things being equal, the more individual free time people have the more likely they are to cheat. Couples who have separate social lives, friends, careers, travel plans, and so on are much more likely to cheat than couples who spend most of their time together. The more opportunity people have to cheat, the greater the odds that cheating will occur.

 

Risk Taking

People who like to take risks or have a sense of adventure are more likely to cheat than people who are more fearful or timid by nature. And there is most likely a genetic component involved in risk-taking behavior - some people may be predisposed to taking risks.

 

Sexual Desire

Sexual desire varies from person to person. Some people have a very high sex drive while other people are much less concerned or interested in sex. And people with a high, rather than low, sex drive are more likely to cheat. Again, sexual desire appears to be influenced by genetic factors. Some people are inherently more easily aroused and driven by their desire for sex than other people. People who have multiple affairs are often addicted to the novelty and excitement which infidelity can provide.

 

Attitude Toward Love and Romance

Attachment and Love Styles

Some people view love and romance as a sacred bond between two individuals. Other people see love as a game, where the goal is to manipulate another individual and gain emotional power over a partner. People who view love as a game are much more likely to have multiple love interests; cheating is just another way to gain control over one's spouse. Also, people with a dismissing style of attachment, are more likely to cheat.

 

Relational Problems

As problems emerge in a relationship, people are more likely to cheat. Infidelity is more common in relationships where people feel misunderstood, under appreciated and where fighting and bickering is common.

 

Sense of Entitlement

Some people, due to their position in society, their beliefs about gender roles, or their cultural upbringing, believe that it is their right to cheat on their partners. In other words, some people believe that cheating is a privilege to which they are entitled. Such individuals, philanders, often engage in infidelity with little guilt or remorse.
